I-35 from Corn Hill (Bud Stockton Loop) to FM 972

The project will improve mobility and safety by converting the I-35 frontage roads from two-way to a one-way configuration and reversing entrance and exit ramps

This project includes converting north and southbound I-35 frontage roads between Corn Hill (Bud Stockton Loop) and FM 972 from two-way to one-way frontage roads. In addition, 14 entrance and exit ramps would be modified within the project limits.

Schedule

  • Construction start: Mid-2019
  • Anticipated construction completion: Mid-2021, weather permitting

  • Construction cost: $10.7 million

Milestones

Reverse Entrance and Exit Ramps

  • Remove one entrance ramp and three exit ramps:
    • two southbound exit ramps
    • one northbound exit ramp
    • one northbound entrance ramp
  • Construct four entrance ramps and six exit ramps:
    • three southbound exit ramps
    • three northbound exit ramps
    • two southbound entrance ramps
    • two northbound entrance ramps
